We Interrupt This Blog For... It's pretty unusual we get snow this time of the year. I heard on the news that the latest we have had snow is April 11. So we almost broke a record.

This is the view from sunroom, looking at the neighbor's house. My poor little Japanese Maple is trying so hard to put out some truly beautiful purple blooms. The daffs have already come and gone. So here's to spring!

Yep. We had the same thing happen to us here in Kansas. Now all the leaves and flower buds are wilted and shriveled up. Not gonna live. But there will be new leaves. And new flower buds. :)

We got some yesterday too - I'm ready for spring! (Although this cold weather does give me a nice excuse to stay at home knitting.)

I really thought that the weatherman screwed up on the forecast, but he did get it right. Which was a shock in itself, but SNOW? lol! It was just enough to cause damage to our local farmer's strawberry fields. They say they lost 10-20% of their crop. I like to go and pick but we shall see. I am wondering now how much the prices will go up. Don't get me wrong. It was very pretty, but so weird! Mebeth, I stayed home and knitted, but then I don't need snow as an excuse!

Seems like everyone east of the Rockies are experiencing record breaking spring weather. We had to turn the heater on here in the Houston area and Dallas had snow.

Whose feet prints? They look like wee ones. Very artistic, and what a cool way to show our unusual snow.

Maureen, they are my size 7 1/2s. Too bad the rest of me isn't that small! I tried to get one of the dogs out there but they weren't having any of that wet stuff on their prissy paws. Spoiled mutts!

I have brain damage! I thought it would make a nice shot for the blog. Once I got out there, I was sorry I did it. We all do things for our blogs to get attention. They only thing that got attention were my cold feet in some nice hand made wool socks! Believe me, if it was any deeper, the shot would not have been worth it.

I have very spoiled dogs! I know we did that to them but they are just so cute and we just love them so much.
